NASELLE - The Comets junior varsity squad finished with victories over league king pins South Bend and Ocosta Wednesday and Thursday. Naselle defeated the Indians 27-25, 16-25 and 15-6 and the C-squad downed the young Indians 25-18 and 25-21.
At Ocosta the Comets JVs had a come-from-behind victory 16-25, 25-22 and 15-12. Coach Rhiana Jacot said, "We struggled serving in both matches, but we played so well in other areas of the game that we were able to win." Jacot related, "Ciara Sandell has continued to get stronger in her hitting and Vicki Corona's passing as libero is impressive. Both are freshman. All the girls have improved so much this year. I'm excited to see what they will do next season."
